1,121,606. Illuminating operating tables. ANCIENS ETABS BARBIER, BENARD & TURENNE. 16 May, 1967 [23 May, 1966], No. 22780/67. Heading F4R. A shadowless lighting arrangement for illuminating operating tables consists of a source of light 4 enclosed in a casing 2 from which the light passes by means of a light guide 3 to a reflector 11 from which it is reflected by a system of mirrors 12, 13 to produce a uniform illumination on a table C. The system of reflectors is mounted in a cupola 1, the light guide 3 passing axially through this. The light falls on a parabolic or elliptical reflector 11, the end of the guide 3 being arranged at the focus of the reflector. The reflector passes the light to a conical mirror or a ring of plane mirrors 12, and thence to a similar ring 13. The source 4 may be arranged at the focus of a spherical elliptical mirror 6 with the interposition of a heat absorbing screen 8. The mirror 6 may be replaced by a condensing lens.
|
