<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress pulse noise of an AM receiver or an FM receiver. <P>SOLUTION: An AM receiver 20 comprises an antenna 1, an RF amplifier 2, an I/Q mixer 3, a VCO 4, a pulse noise detector 5, an interpolator 6, a BPF 7, an IF amplifier 8 and an AM detector 9. The I/Q mixer 3 is constituted of an I mixer 11a as an in-phase mixer and a Q mixer 11b as a quadrature mixer. The pulse noise detector 5 receives signals outputted from the I mixer 11a and the Q mixer 11b and synthesizes an interpolation signal. The interpolator 6 receives a signal outputted from the I mixer 11a and a signal outputted from the Q mixer 11b and eliminates pulse noise by performing waveform interpolation or signal processing on the signal outputted from the I mixer 11a and the signal outputted from the Q mixer 11b based on the interpolation signal outputted from the pulse noise detector 5. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
