PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a driving mechanism for a camera that is made smaller in size and lower in manufacturing cost and capable of moving an imaging device or an optical device at high speed with less power than the conventional cameras. SOLUTION: The driving mechanism for the camera is equipped with moving bodies 20, 30 and 40 moving linearly along the optical axis O of photographic lenses L1 to L3, the imaging device 3 supported by the moving bodies, a coil CZ for AF fixed on the moving bodies, a magnetic force generating device fixed in a camera body and linearly moving the moving bodies in the optical axis direction relative to the camera body by applying magnetic power to the coil for AF, and a control means 50 for controlling the direction of a current flowing in the coil for AF so that focusing is performed on the imaging surface of the imaging device. The coil for AF is a planar coil, whose winding is positioned in a plane parallel with the optical axis. COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
