PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an inner rotor electric motor of a structure that makes it possible to support a rotating shaft and a rotor freely rotatably on a stator, by making its size in the axial direction smaller. SOLUTION: An opening hole 3a of a recess is provided coaxially with the center of rotation on a rotor 3. A cylindrical portion 10a that is stored in the opening hole 3a via a gap and a fixing portion 10b that extends outside the opening hole 3a from the edge end of the cylindrical portion 10a and that is fixed to a stator 2 are provided in a housing 10. A rotating shaft 4 is passed into the cylindrical portion 10a, supported freely rotatably by the cylindrical portion 10a via bearings 7, 8 inside the cylindrical portion 10a, and fixed to the bottom wall 3b of the opening hole 3a.
