PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a stepping motor suitable for blade driver of camera. SOLUTION: The stepping motor of a camera for driving a blade 30, moving between a position facing an exposure opening and a position retracting therefrom, comprises a rotor 41 having a plurality of magnetized poles in the circumferential direction; a stator stacking two yoke units U, each consisting of an excitation coil 42; a bobbin 43 for winding the coil; and a pair of yokes 44, 45 having a plurality of interdigital pole pieces 44b, 45b being bonded, while holding the bobbin between and arranged alternately around the rotor, and a commutating pole plate 46 made of a magnetic material and arranged in the end region of the stator in the stacking direction, in order to hold the rotor at a predetermined angular position. A small stepping motor, having powerful holding force suitable for the blade driver of a camera requiring high-accuracy positioning of the blade, while reducing the size is thereby attained.
