PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a liquid crystal module wherein the number of components is small and which is economical and has superior impact resistance. SOLUTION: The liquid crystal module has a rectangular frame-shaped mold frame 1, constituted of a pair of left and right vertical plate parts 1a and 1c, and a pair of upper and lower horizontal plate parts 1b and 1d, a liquid crystal cell disposed on the front surface of the mold frame 1, a support frame fixed to the rear surface of the mold frame 1 via a reflection sheet and U-shaped light sources 8, provided with long-length horizontal tube parts 8a parallel to each other and short-length vertical tube parts 8b connecting both the horizontal tube parts 8a to each other. The U-shaped light sources 8 are disposed at prescribed positions of the mold frame 1, by inserting lamp sockets 6 put on free ends of the both horizontal tube parts 8a in small pockets Pa, formed at one vertical plate part 1a and inserting lamp holders 13 put on the vertical tube parts 8b inside large pockets Pb, formed at the other vertical plate part 1c.
