PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To surely prevent simultaneous selection of a plurality of scanning lines. SOLUTION: A first scanning line drive circuit 33A and a second scanning line drive circuit 33 B are respectively arranged on both the sides of a pixel forming area R. The odd-numbered scanning lines are connected to a first sequential transfer circuit 34A of the first scanning line drive circuit 33A and even-order scanning lines are connected to a second sequential transfer circuit 34B of the second scanning line driving circuit 33B. A first output control circuit part 35A generates an odd-numbered scanning signal by AND between a shift pulse from the first sequential transfer circuit 34A and a scanning signal from an even-numbered scanning line and outputs the generated scanning signal to its corresponding odd-numbered scanning line. A second output control circuit part 35B generates an even-order scanning signal by AND between a shift pulse from the second sequential transfer circuit 34B and a scanning signal from an odd-numbered scanning line and outputs the generated scanning signal to its corresponding even-numbered scanning line.
