摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make a laser beam incident on a microscope main body as parallel light of a uniform beam diameter without reducing joint efficiency relative to an optical fiber even in the case where a wavelength changes when fluorescence observation is carried out such that a laser beam emitted from the laser light source is guided to a microscope main body by the use of the optical fiber. SOLUTION: The illuminating device 1 for the microscope includes: the laser light source 5 for emitting a laser beam; the optical fiber 10 for guiding the laser beam from the laser light source 5 to the microscope main body 3; and two zoom optical systems 9 and 11 disposed opposite each other such that the zoom optical system 9 is located at one end 10a of the optical fiber 10 and the zoom optical system 11 is located at the other end 10b of it, the zoom optical system 9, having at least one of lenses 9a and 9b movable in the direction of an optical axis and the zoom optical system 11 having at least one of the lenses 11a and 11b movable in the direction of the optical axis, based on the wavelength of the laser beam emitted from the laser light source 5.
