PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a piping structure of a building for allowing mounting/demounting work for a refrigerant pipe relating to an air-conditioner in an upstairs habitable room without going into a downstairs habitable room. SOLUTION: In a building 10 having a plurality of stairs, a pipe space 18 for a downstairs dwelling unit 17A is arranged vertically in a room of the downstairs dwelling unit 17A and a sheathed pipe 35 is passed vertically through the pipe space 18, whose upper part 35a is opened 35b to the upper side of a floor portion 26 of an upstairs dwelling unit 20A and whose lower part 35c is opened 35e from the lower side of a floor portion 24 of the downstairs dwelling unit 17A to the upper side of the building 10. The refrigerant pipe 39 is passed into the sheathed pipe 35, through which an air conditioning indoor unit 34 for the upstairs dwelling unit 20A is connected to an outdoor unit 46 provided on the outdoor side of the downstairs dwelling unit 17A.
