PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an openable lid which sufficiently exerts enhanced characteristics and features as a spring, and contributes to stabilized quality and improved durability, to thereby alleviate a burden on the operator at the time of opening/closing operation thereof. SOLUTION: The openable lid is formed of a disk-shaped lid body 2; a spindle 3 arranged on a side plate of the lid body, for turning upon turning operation of the lid body together with the same; an aperture frame 1 consisting of frame members enclosing four sides of an aperture, and having a bearing arranged on one side of the frame members, for bearing the spindle 3; an arm 4 having a proximal end thereof pivoted on the spindle 3 and a distal end thereof overhanging radially outward from a spindle location; a shaft member 5 having one end thereof turnably connected to the arm distal end via a joint portion and having a proximal end thereof mounted on the joint portion so as to extend a shaft portion thereof; a long member 6 allowing the shaft portion slidably inserted into an insertion hole 65 formed in a distal end thereof and having a proximal end thereof turnably supported by the frame members at a location close to the other side of the frame members, that is opposed to the one side of the frame members at which the bearing is placed; and a coil spring 7 interposed in the shaft portion by engaging one end thereof with the distal end and the other end thereof with a locking member 8 arranged near the distal end of the shaft portion.
