<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an accessary for a camera which can remotely operate the camera from an optional direction and can be utilized also as a cable-type external operation device for the camera. <P>SOLUTION: A receiver 20 includes a cable 24, a connector pin 21 connected to one end of the cable 24 and electrically connected to a camera 10, and a receiver body 30A connected to the other end of the cable 24 and having a photodiode 32 for receiving a radio signal for operating the camera 10. On the other hand, a transmitter 40A includes an infrared light emitting diode 43 for transmitting a radio signal to the receiver 20, an operation button 44 to be operated in order to transmit the radio signal, and a battery 45 for supply power to transmit the radio signal.
