<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To optimize individually the drying of a gas flow passage through which a reaction gas is fed to a fuel cell and the drying of a power generator in the fuel cell, to improve the starting performance in a low temperature environment. <P>SOLUTION: The fuel cell system is installed with a hydrogen bypass flow passage 209 and a bypass adjusting valve 211 between an inlet-side hydrogen manifold to introduce hydrogen gas fed to a fuel cell stack 100 to cells 200 and an outlet-side hydrogen manifold 205, and an air bypass flow passage 210 and a bypass adjusting valve 212 between an inlet-side air manifold 204 to introduce air to the cells 200 and an outlet-side air manifold 206. By controlling the flowing amounts of the air to flow between the manifolds and to be introduced in the cells 200 and the air to flow in the bypass flow passage bypassing the cells 200, the cells 200, passages and manifolds are optimumly dried. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
