<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem in a method of comparing the difference between the degree of consumption of each consumable article and the current value indicative of current degree of consumption of a consumable article with a specified value indicative of the degree of consumption of a consumable article and urging replacement of the consumables if the difference is smaller than the specified value that since the method is controlled in units of job, replacement of the consumables may possibly be urged if a job to be printed consumes a large quantity of consumables even if other job consuming small quantity of consumables can be printed. <P>SOLUTION: During execution of printing of a plurality of pages, information about the residual quantity of consumables required for ending printing of each page can be notified. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
