<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To effectively utilize a communication using jumbo frames even when a communication path and an apparatus incompatible with the jumbo frames are interposed on the way of the communication. <P>SOLUTION: In a packet communication method for the communication system wherein ordinary frames and the jumbo frames are transmitted together, a packet disassembling side (30d-10) disassembles the jumbo frames received from its upper stream to produce a plurality of disassembled frames compatible with the ordinary frames, transmits them to its downstream, each of the disassembled frames includes a first frame check word generated by the same arithmetic method as that for the ordinary frames as to part of information and a second frame check word generated by the same arithmetic method as the method above as to the information of whole frames including the first frame check word, and a packet assembling side (30e-20) extracts the disassembled frames when the inspection by the first frame check word in the received frames is correct, and assembles a plurality of the collected disassembled frames to produce the jumbo frames. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI</p> |
