PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To perform mapping for improving the performance of sequential read in a storage device such as a RAID for making data redundant by using two or more types of parities. SOLUTION: A stripe constituted of N data strips and different types of M pieces of parity strips are stored so as to be distributed to N+M pieces of disks so that data can be made redundant. When the plurality of stripes are stored in the N+M pieces of disks, the disks at the storage destinations of the data strips and the parity strips included in each stripe are decided so that the parity strips can be prevented from being continuously stored in the same disk between the continuous two stripes.
