摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electroconductive material excellent in carrier transport capacity, to provide a composition for an electroconductive material, capable of forming an electroconductive layer excellent in carrier transport capacity, to provide an electroconductive layer excellent in carrier transport capacity, and to provide a highly reliable electronic device and highly reliable electronic equipment. SOLUTION: The electroconductive material is prepared by polycondensing a compound represented by formula (1) with phosgene and/or a derivative thereof through any of its substituents X<SP>1</SP>, X<SP>2</SP>, X<SP>3</SP>, and X<SP>4</SP>to join molecules of the compound together. In formula (1), X<SP>1</SP>, X<SP>2</SP>, X<SP>3</SP>, and X<SP>4</SP>, which may be the same to each other or different from each other, are each independently a substituent represented by formula (2); the eight Rs, which may be the same to each other or different from each other, are each independently a hydrogen atom, a methyl group, or an ethyl group; and Y is a group containing at least one substituted or unsubstituted aromatic hydrocarbon ring.
