PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a compression molding apparatus capable of specifying the mold closing speed and the mold closing pressure in compression molding as required and capable of highly efficiently compression-molding a product having sufficiently high precision. SOLUTION: A mold opening/closing means in a form including both of a mold closing speed specifying means such as a servo motor 22 or a cam mechanism 32 capable of specifying the closing speed of a mold and a mold closing pressure specifying means such as a liquid pressure cylinder mechanism 14 capable of specifying a mold closing pressure is employed, and the closing movement of a mold means is made to be performed by the operation of the mold closing speed specifying means and the operation of the mold closing pressure specifying means.
