PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an inkjet recording system which performs recording by making the whole recording density low while readability of characters is held when both faces are recorded. SOLUTION: An inkjet recording method performing the recording on either both faces or one face of a recording medium, is equipped with a means for designating either a both faces recording mode performing the recording on both faces of the recording medium or a one face recording mode performing the recording on one face of the recording medium, a means for selecting a recording density lower than that for the one face recording mode when the both faces recording mode is designated, a means for distinguishing that image data to be recorded are characters and others, and a means for adjusting the density around the characters which controls the image recording density around the character data to a different density from the other area when the both faces recording mode is designated.
