PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a mist collector and a mist separation and collecting method, efficiently separating and recovering mist easily from gas in simple constitution. SOLUTION: This mist collector 5 includes: a casing 50 to which a pipeline 7 is connected; a discharge pole 51 and a dust collecting pole 52 disposed in the casing 50; a cooling means 53 for cooling the dust collecting pole 52; and a drain 54 for collecting mist sucked to the dust collecting pole 52 and liquefied. Oil mist contained in the air is adsorbed to the dust collecting pole 52 by discharge, and cooled under the saturation temperature by the cooled dust collecting pole 52 to be surely and efficiently liquefied, and discharged from the drain pipe 54a to the outside of the casing 50 to be collected.
