PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a label heater efficiently heating a shrink label with the minimum heated steam. SOLUTION: The label heater is equipped with: a heat treatment chamber 10 installed so as to surround a carrying conveyor C of a container B; a steam blowing means 20 for blowing the heated steam to a shrink label L fitted to the container B passing in the chamber 10; and a steam exhausting means 40 for exhausting the steam from the chamber 10. The steam blowing means 20 is equipped with steam blowing-out units 30 and 30 oppositely installed across the conveyor C, and an approaching/separating means 38 for bringing the units closer to/farther away from each other. The steam blowing-out unit 30 is equipped with a steam blowing-out nozzle having a steam blowing-out hole and a nozzle block having a steam blowing hole surrounding the nozzle. The diameter of the steam blowing hole is larger in a finishing zone Z2 than in an initial compression zone Z1, and the total number of the steam blowing holes corresponding to the respective steam blowing-out nozzles is smaller in the finishing zone Z2 than in the zone Z1.
