<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device for detecting a drum location, capable of detecting the rotation angle of a drum inexpensively and with high accuracy, without using expensive rotary encoders. <P>SOLUTION: By providing an image detector 44 for making reflected light, reflected by the reflecting region of a drum 100 to enter, and output as image signals, and a rotation position calculating section 45 for comparing image signals for each micro time to calculate the rotation angle of the drum 100 by detecting the movement quantity of the images to integrate; since the moving quantity is detected from the changes in the image information of the drum 100, the moving quantity of the rotation of the drum 100 can be measured directly, with a simple structure. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
