<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an in-plane prediction device in which the effect of shortening the time can be enhanced while avoiding hazard. <P>SOLUTION: The in-plane prediction device 11 comprises means (a predicting section 113, an orthogonal conversion/quantization section 115, an inverse orthogonal conversion/dequantization section 116, an adder 117) performing in-plane prediction in units of second block (block) obtained by dividing a first block (macro block) constituting an image into a plurality of subblocks and performing in-plane prediction by the entire first blocks, and a section 119 for controlling in-plane prediction of a block in the predicting section 113, the orthogonal conversion/quantization section 115, the inverse orthogonal conversion/dequantization section 116, and the adder 117 to be performed in parallel with in-plane prediction of the entire macro block. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
