PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cooling water system capable of promoting energy saving as a whole system. SOLUTION: The cooling water system is provided with a cooling water pump Pw supplying cooling water W to a water cooled heat source device 1, an outlet temperature sensor 9 detecting a cooling water outlet temperature (to) which is a temperature of used cooling water W sent out from the heat source device 1, and a control means 10 for adjusting an output of the cooling water pump Pw and adjusting a cooling water supply flow rate q to the heat source device 1 in response to the cooling water outlet temperature (to) detected by the outlet temperature sensor 9. The control means 10 is configured to proportionally change the cooling water supply flow rate q to the heat source device 1 within a set flow rate range Y by output adjustment of the cooling water pump Pw with respect to change of the cooling water outlet temperature (to) detected by the outlet temperature sensor 9 within a set temperature range X.
