PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a manufacturing method of an electro-optical device and the electro-optical device wherein uniformity of the shape of a light emitting element is improved. SOLUTION: Before minute liquid droplets composed of a positive hole layer forming liquid is ejected to an ejection face 20a, a space over the ejection face 20a is made under atmosphere of steam H, a region except the ejection face 20a is covered by a mask Mk2, an ultraviolet ray Luv is irradiated only on that ejection face 20a so that lyophilic property to the liquid of a photocatalyst to the minute liquid droplets is induced. Then, by the portion for the inducement of lyophilic property to the liquid of the photocatalyst, positive hole layer droplets to spread with wetting action over the entire face of the ejection face 20a are made to be formed.
