PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical disk device for saving power consumption, while preventing deterioration in recording/reproducing quality owing to tilt. SOLUTION: The optical disk device comprises: a tilt detecting means 114 for detecting the correlative tilt between an optical pickup 101 and an optical disk; a tilt control means 109 for controlling the tilt, based on the detection result of the tilt detecting means 114; and tilt correcting means 103, 113 for adjusting at least the inclination of an objective lens in response to the output of the tilt control means 109 and correcting the correlative tilt with the optical disk. When a value detected by the tilt detecting means 114 is not more than a prescribed value, the operations of the tilt correcting means 103, 113 are stopped. COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI
