Cooling and/or rinsing lance (6) comprises a unit (11) for feeding a liquid medium and a unit (12) for introducing a gaseous medium into a chamber (13) of the lance. The chamber has a nozzle (14) for feeding a gas-liquid mixture into an inner chamber (15) of the lance. The lance has an inlet opening (10) for a laser beam. An independent claim is also included for a process for removing particles, gases or vapors during laser processing.
