A modular self structuring and computing system includes a matrix (150, 150') formed of a plurality of modules (10, A, B, C). Each module (10, A, B, C, D, 1000, 2000, 3000, 4000) comprises up to six connecting assemblies (40, 200, 300, 400, 500, 600, 700, 1010, 2010, 3010, 4010) that are detachably coupled to one another through pin (267b, 467b, 567b, 767b) and hole (267a, 467a, 567a, 767a) type connections to form a housing (800) for a power source (69). Each connecting assembly (40) includes a pivotally mounted leg (25-30, 1050, 1060, 1070, 1080, 2050, 2060, 2070, 2080, 3050, 3060, 3070, 3080, 4050, 4070, 4080) with a connecting plate (31-36) attached thereto and a central connector (68).
