BARCODE FORMING METHOD, AND BARCODE FORMING APPARATUS

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To facilitate to discriminate presence/absence of a barcode on an optical disk in performing laser trimming on the reflective film of the optical disk by converting information of the optical disk, etc., into the barcode.

SOLUTION: Disclosed is a barcode forming method including: a process 818m for providing the optical disk 800 having a substrate with a track, the reflective film formed on the track, and an identifier; and a process 819d for trimming a part of the reflective film with a laser beam and forming the barcode. The whole of or a part of the barcode is formed on the track. The identifier indicates whether the barcode exists on the optical disk 800 or not.
