<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve a reproduction characteristic at a small sound volume of a signal loudspeaker without making noise conspicuous. <P>SOLUTION: When correction processing is applied to a received audio signal for outputting the audio signal from a loudspeaker with a prescribed input output characteristic and when the prescribed input output characteristic of the loudspeaker indicates that the linearity of an output level with respect to the input signal with a prescribed level is almost ensured and that the output level gets lower with respect to the input signal when its level is the prescribed level or below, an audio signal processing apparatus applies the correction processing to the signal components of the received audio signal whose level is almost a prescribed level or below for a particular frequency band only limited within the frequency band at which the loudspeaker system can reproduce signals to compensate the decreased amount of the output level. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
