<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technology to improve a contact strength between a magnet body and a protective film. <P>SOLUTION: The rare-earth sintered magnet is provided with a magnet body made of a sintered compact containing a rear earth element and a protective film formed on the surface of the magnet body, wherein the ratio between an average crystal grain diameter D50 of the magnet body and ten-point average roughness Rz of the magnet body with the protecting film formed thereon, Rz/D50, is prescribed to be 0.20 or more and 10.00 or less. Therefore, the contact strength of the protective film is made as high as 100 N/m or more, thereby providing a rare-earth sintered magnet having an excellent corrosion-resistance. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
