<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a hologram recording device capable of reducing the influence of double refraction of a hologram substrate. <P>SOLUTION: A nonvolatile memory stores hologram recording conditions concerning the double refraction of a substrate provided in the hologram recording medium, for example, the incident planar angle of signal light and reference light, and recording power such as a recording angle range or recording time, in the case of an angular multiplexing system.
