IMAGING METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR SUPPORTING OPERATOR DURING INTERVENTIONAL RADIOLOGY PROCEDURE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an imaging method, displaying the position of at least one point of a surgical instrument disposed in a vascular system of a patient in real time.

SOLUTION: This imaging method is implemented according to a computer program in an imaging apparatus 1. This method includes: a step of digitizing a two-dimensional image obtained by an image obtaining system 2 by an image digitizing device 13; a step of determining the current three-dimensional position of a predetermined point of the surgical instrument from the digitized image and a three-dimensional model of the vascular system of the patient stored in a memory 4 by a processor 3; a step of determining the current three-dimensional position as a function of the position before the surgical instrument in the three-dimensional model and the position of a blood vessel of the vascular system represented by the three-dimensional model; and a step of displaying an image representing the point of the surgical instrument by the current three-dimensional position using a display system 5.
