PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a PCB detoxification method capable of determining reaction conditions for completing the detoxification when starting the PCB detoxification and stably completing the PCB detoxification by the reaction under the determined conditions. SOLUTION: This PCB detoxification method is characterized in adding a treated object including PCB and antichlor inside a reaction tank of treatability test apparatus having the reaction tank with the volume of 20 LT or less under a predetermined concentration of the antichlor, a predetermined ratio of the antichlor, a predetermined adding speed and predetermined heating/cooling conditions to perform decomposition reaction of PCB; measuring the PCB concentration in the reaction tank at a predetermined time after starting the reaction to find a reaction retaining time required for the completion of the treatment of PCB, and reacting the same treated object and antichlor under the conditions obtained based on the concentration of the antichlor, the ratio of the antichlor, the adding speed, the heating/cooling conditions and the reaction retaining time in actual facilities.
