PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a photographic information management system and method thereof in which a video image with a target object is photographed therein can be efficiently found out and viewed in a short time among recorded video information photographed by a photographing apparatus such as a monitor camera. SOLUTION: The photographic information management system includes: a storage medium with original information stored thereon; a reader for reading the original information stored on the storage medium; a photographing apparatus for photographing the vicinity of a place where the reader is installed when reading the original information stored on the storage medium by the reader; and a processor that registers photographic information photographed by the photographing apparatus within a fixed time including the time point when the reader reads the original information, in a storage means in association with the original information. The original information stored on the storage medium is read, the original information and video information are stored in the storage means while being associated with each other and based on the original information, the video information stored in the storage means in association with the original information is selected and projected on a display.
