PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a refrigerator of high reliability capable of reducing noise by inhibiting hitting of a compressor by impact strength in collision with a refrigerator housing main body in closing revolving doors. SOLUTION: In this refrigerator having the housing main body 101 in which a refrigerating compartment 106 comprising the revolving doors 113a, 113b for opening and closing is mounted on a front face, and a recessed portion 120 recessed to an uppermost storage space 122a in the refrigerating compartment 106 over a top face and a back face of the housing main body 101 is formed, so that the compressor 150 is mounted in the recessed portion 120, the revolving doors 113a, 113b are divided to be opened on left and right both sides as fulcrums from the middle, and the compressor 150 is mounted in a state of keeping out of a projection line from a front portion of a parting line 130 to separate the compressor 150 from the projection line from the front portion of the parting line 130 of the largest angular momentum, thus the impact strength transmitted to the compressor 150 through the refrigerator housing main body in closing the revolving doors 113a, 113b can be reduced, and the hitting of the compressor 150 can be inhibited.
