PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the number of electrode pads of a substrate for an inkjet recording head by easing the restriction of the number of recording elements which can be driven simultaneously so as to set drive voltage fluctuations within a tolerable range. SOLUTION: This substrate for an inkjet recording head comprises an array H1103 of recording elements, common power supply wiring H1101 which extends from a region, on one end part side, of the array H1103 to a region on the other end part side and is connected with a power supply side electrode pad H1505V through a region, on the one end part side, of the array H1103, and a common gland power supply wiring H1102 which extends from a region, on one end part side, of the array H1103 to the region on the other end art side and is connected with a gland side electrode pad H1505G through the region on the other end part side of the array H1103. Thus, regarding a plurality of the recording elements included in the array H1103, the total length of each common wiring from each electrode pad is equalized and thereby, the compounded wiring resistance of the common wiring part can be substantially equalized.
