PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a game machine having a high game characteristic for satisfying a desire of various game players, by arranging an operation means for performing operation for switching a game state to an insurance joining game state having a game compensating means for compensating for a loss of the game players, by improving a probability of becoming a game result advantageous to the game players. SOLUTION: The game state of a present slot machine 1 is switched between the insurance joining game state and an insurance unjoined game state being an ordinary game state by operating an INSURE ON/OFF button 13 (S13 and S16), to compensate for a loss of the game players by increasing a winning probability of a winning role when the loss of the game player becomes a specific value or more (S75), instead of additionally levying one credit as a premium in the stage of betting when set in the insurance joining game state (S27).
