An arrangement for fastening a door or other closure 2 such as a window, flap or lid, to a frame 12 within which the closure is hinged, comprises a solid strap 13 of resilient material, one edge portion of which is attached to the closure so that the opposite face edge portion of the strip extends outwardly in the plane of the closure from one edge of the closure other than the one about which it is hinged, the extruding portion of the strip bridging the gap between the edge of the closure and the adjacent frame, the free edge portion of the strip being located in a shallow groove 14 in the adjacent frame when the closure is in closed position. The strip is made of material such as polypropylene or nylon and can be transparent or pigmented. |
