METHOD FOR PRODUCING SCALY SILICA MASTERBATCH AND RUBBER COMPOSITION CONTAINING THE SAME

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing a silica masterbatch in which a scaly silica primary particle is uniformly dispersed in rubber and to obtain a rubber composition satisfying both reinforcing properties and low heat build-up by using the masterbatch. SOLUTION: The method for producing a silica masterbatch comprises mixing an aqueous suspension of scaly silica with at least one kind of rubber latex in the presence of at least one kind of a low-molecular cationic molecule selected from an inorganic ammonium salt and a≤6C alkyl chain-containing quaternary ammonium salt to give a mixed solution, mixing the obtained mixed solution with at least one kind of an alcohol to precipitate a mixture and dehydrating and drying the mixture.
