PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent roof glass from cracking owing to the load of a roof carrier while the outside appearance of the connection part of the roof glass with each roof side rail is well secured. SOLUTION: A roof molding 16 fitted in a molding mounting groove 19 formed in the coupling part of a roof panel 11 supporting the roof glass 12 with the roof side rail 15 is composed of supporting legs 22 and 23 to be fitted in the groove 19 and a molding body 21 supporting the base 39 of the roof carrier 31. Because a core metal 24 is embedded in that part of the molding body 21 arranged in such a way as straddling the roof panel 11 and the roof glass 12, which is abutting at least to the carrier base 39 and the roof panel 11, it is not only possible to enhance the outside appearance by covering continuously the area from the roof glass 12 to the roof side rail 15 with the molding body 21, but also to prevent the roof glass 12 from breakage certainly by transmitting the load applied from the carrier base 39 effectively without transmitting to the roof glass 12.
