PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a stock vice device for a machine tool capable of stably holding a workpiece a holding surface of which is inclined in simple structure. SOLUTION: A fixed block 11 having a recessed part space 12 communicated through in the vertical direction (Z axial direction) and provided with an opening 13 to open the recessed part space in the horizontal direction (X axial direction) is fixed on a base plate 2. A rotating block 19 on which a patch 17 to make contavt with a workpiece 4 is fixed is stored in the recessed part space 12 of the fixed block 11 free to rotate around a Z axis in a state of projecting the patch 17 from the opening 13. The rotating block 19 rotates in the fixed block 11 along an inclination of a head end surface of the workpiece 4 when the workpiece 4 a holding surface of which is inclined is made contact with by the patch 17 of the rotating block 19, each part is normally positioned in a state where the head end surface of the workpiece 4 makes totally contact with a head end surface of the patch 17 and the workpiece 4 comes to be in a holding state.
