The vehicle connection plug-type joining component (7) of the seat mounting base (14) and the seat connection plug-type joining component (12) are assigned to the seat body (13) in such a manner that when carrying out the aligned attachment of the seat body (13) to the seat mounting base (14), the seat connection plug-type joining component (12) and the vehicle connection plug-type joining component (7) are automatically joined. The invention also relates to a vehicle seat mounting method during which a seat body is attached in an aligned manner to a seat mounting base that is provided inside or is to be fastened to a vehicle. When carrying out the aligned attachment of the seat body to the seat mounting base, the seat connection plug-type joining component and the vehicle connection plug-type joining component are automatically joined.
