The inventive device for an optical telecommunications network terminal comprises first (20) and second (22) optical branches provided with first common ends (20A, 22A) for connecting to the network optical line (16), wherein a descending phase-modulated optical signal travels. The branches (20, 22) comprise means (26, 28, 30) which form an ascending amplitude-modulated optical signal from the descending signal and comprise means (26, 28) for reflecting at least a part of the power or optical spectrum of the descending optical signal. The ascending signal formed from a signal reflected by the reflecting means (26, 28, 30) passes through the first common ends of two branches in such a way that it travels in the same optical line (16) that the descending signal.
