<p>A optical/floppy disk storage and searching method and apparatus utilizing the method of the present invention set a storage box which has a plurality of slots. A display apparatus for indicating the position of each slot and a opening-lid apparatus are set on the storage box, and the display apparatus and the opening-lid apparatus are controlled by a control circuit. A CD driver of a computer is used to scan the directory of each optical/floppy disk which is to be stored, and the directory information is identified and classified and assigned with an identifier "m" which is stored into the memories of the computer and the storage box by the computer, and the optical/floppy disk is inserted into the slot of the storage box corresponding to the identifier; when searching the disk by utilizing a computer software, the computer transmits the identifier "ID" of a selected optical or floppy disk to the storage box, compares the identifier "ID" to that stored in the memory, and uses a display apparatus to display the store address of the selected optical or floppy disk. This invention can store and search the optical or floppy disk with convenience and high speed and high efficiency.</p> |
