<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a driving support apparatus capable of supporting driving by a driver by emphasizing a contour of its own vehicle body such as a contour of a bumper even when the surrounding of the vehicle body is dark at night or the like. <P>SOLUTION: The drive support apparatus provided with a display means for displaying an image including part of the bumper obtained from a CCD camera 2 for imaging a rear vision image of the vehicle body on a display apparatus 14, includes: a database 13 for storing contour information denoting the contour of the bumper included in the imaged image; and a means for superimposingly displaying the contour of the bumper on the image displayed on the display apparatus 14 in matching with the contour of the real bumper on the basis of the contour information stored in the database 13. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
