<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an interlayer adhesion promotor for a multilayer electroactive element containing at least one electroactive organic layer. <P>SOLUTION: This method comprises (i) a step of preparing a composition by blending an adhesion promotor material with an electroactive material, (ii) a step of depositing an electroactive element composition on a second electroactive layer and (iii) optionally, a step of further depositing a third electroactive layer on a surface of the first layer opposite the second layer, in which the composition permits adhesive bonding between the first and the second layer, between the first and the third layer, or between both the first and the second layer and the first and the third layer. In another embodiment, the method comprises (i) a step of depositing a surface treatment composition containing the adhesion promotor material on the surface of the first electroactive layer and (ii) a step of depositing the second electroactive layer on the surface of the first layer containing the adhesion promotor, in which the composition permits adhesive bonding between the first layer and the second layer of the electroactive element. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI</p> |
