<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a gas adsorbent having a low thermal conductivity, and to provide a high performance heat insulation body having more excellent thermal insulation property by reducing the void size of core material. <P>SOLUTION: In the gas adsorbent 1, moisture and internally produced moisture which are not completely removed according to an industrial evacuation process is adsorbed and removed by a chemical moisture adsorptive material and, in accordance with the adsorption and removal of moisture, nitrogen which is not completely removed according to the industrial evacuation process and nitrogen which permeates in the lapse of time are adsorbed and fixed by a silver ion exchange zeolite which exhibits nitrogen adsorption activity. As the result, the improvement of a thermal insulation property of the heat insulating body 6 is achieved, at the same time, since the zeolite has a porous structure of which the void-to-void distance is a mean free path of gas or less, the increase of thermal conductivity due to the gas adsorbent 1 can be suppressed and, further, the solid thermal conductivity can be reduced because of the solid density lower than the alloy. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI</p> |
