摘要 <p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a wireless communication apparatus the throughput of which is enhanced. <P>SOLUTION: The wireless communication apparatus 100 is provided with: a frame generating section 120 for attaching a header to a data part to form a transmission frame; and a control section 190 that acquires a variation index in a propagation path and determines the length of the data part of the transmission frame in response to the propagation path variation index. Thus, the length of the data part is decreased when the propagation path variation index is greater, that is, a degree of propagation path variation is rapid, and the length of the data part can be increased when the propagation path variation index is small, that is, a degree of the propagation path variation is gentle. Thus, in the case where a degree of the propagation path variation is rapid and it is much likely that a retransmission request comes from a receiver side, the length of the data part is decreased so as to prevent deterioration in the throughput due to transmission of the long data, and when there is little possibility of a retransmission request, the long data are transmitted to enhance the throughput. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI</p>
