PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a zoom lens having a vibration-proof function equipped with a vibration-proof mechanism, achieving the miniaturization of an entire device and providing an excellent image in compensating vibration. SOLUTION: The zoom lens comprises a first lens group L1 having positive refractive power, a second lens group L2 having negative refractive power and a succeeding lens group Lb including a third lens group L3 moving in zooming and having positive refractive power as a whole in all the zoom range in order from an object side to an image side. Space between the first lens group L1 and the second lens group L2 is larger at a telephoto end than at a wide angle end, and space between the second lens group L2 and the third lens group L3 is smaller at the telephoto end than at the wide angle end. The second lens group L2 is constituted of a second-s lens group L2s comprising a single negative lens and a second-m lens group L2m including a positive lens and a negative lens and having negative refractive power as a whole, and the second-m lens group L2m is displaced to have a component in a perpendicular direction to an optical axis to displace an image.
