PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To align the position of the upper and lower molds attached to a press molding apparatus and to improve the accuracy of the molded product. SOLUTION: The press molding apparatus 1 is equipped with: base plates 11, 31 which conduct mutually approaching and separating movement; and mold members 19, 39 which are removably fitted to the base plates 11, 31, and it presses an object 2 to be processed with the mold members 19, 39. The apparatus is equipped with positioning pins 51, 52 which are fixed in the base plate 31 and come into contact with the mold member 39 to position the mold member 39. The positioning pins 51, 52 come into contact also with the mold member 19 of the base plate 11 when the base plates 11, 31 approach and thereby position the mold member 19 to the base plate 31.
